After the Constitutional Assembly dissolved, there is the constitutional dead luck in the country. The situation of Human Rights has been deteriorating. The efforts for the sustainable peace and conflict management got stuck and potentiality of the escalation of conflicts has been dramatically escalated. Regarding this scenario, HURF Nepal conducted an interaction program with National Level Stakeholders on "Human Rights situation, existing and potential conflicts' issues and role of the I/NGOs in conflict Management in Nepal. The program was held on 28 August, 2012, at Hotel Orchid Tripureswor, Kathmandu on which representatives of the National and International Level organizations, line agencies, Human Rights organizations, development partners, social leaders actively took part. The interaction brought some conclusion analyzing the situation of Human rights where role of I/NGOs are highly prioritized for the conflict management in Nepal.

The program focused on the following major objectives :
-To analyze the existing and potential issues of conflict in Nepal – in the perspective of human rights;
-To explore the effective ways to manage the existing and potential conflict from the part of I/NGO sector; and
-To enrich the idea through sharing experiences and learning of the abovementioned field.

Two papers were presented in the interaction. Dr. Padma Khatiwada, Professor TU, presented the paper on the situation of Human rights, issues of existing and potential conflict and role of I/NGOs in the field of conflict management. Similarly, Mr. Devendra Biswakarma, Executive Director of HURF Nepal presented the second paper based on the HURF's experience in the field of conflict transformation and the existing issues in the Eastern Development Region of Nepal. Mr. D N Parajuli, Lawyer and former president of HURF commented on the both paper.

More than 35 participants from national and international organizations actively took part in the program.
