HURF Nepal with support Government Facility and Jagaran Nepal has launched a project on "Strengthening Women's Participation especially from Marginalized Communities in Local Governance, Division Making, elections and politics" (SMARCO) from 15th December, 2015 in 5 VDCs in Ilam district. HURF Nepal has set up a seperate office and project team for the project with a leading role of project coordinator Shikhar Nath Sapkota. The project covers 5 VDCs namely Chisapani, Danabari, Mahamai, Shantipur & Chulachuli VDCs for 3 years with aims of capacity building for effective and active participation of the women.
