Training on women's political  participation in VDC level
HURF Nepal with Jagaran Nepal Kathmandu, organized 3 days VDC level training for the leadership development and political participation of women in local level in 5 VDCs in Ilam. 25  women especially from marginalized and minorities groups were capacitated with different issues such as human rights, women rights & national and Int'l Provisions, gender, GESI, gender budget, political parties, and leadership skills in each VDC. The training has been conducted in Mahamai, Chulachuli, Danabari, Shantipur and Chisapani VDCs in Ilam.  The training program is being organized under the SMARCO Project that focuses the strengthen of women in active political participation. Likewise, motivation meetings were organized with the women groups in all 5 VDCs as well. The project has been supported by Governance Facility and conducted on the consortium between Jagaran Nepal and HURF Nepal.
