District Level interaction
District level interaction with district level stakeholders organized in 7 districts. The interaction was organized to inform the district level stakeholders about the project 'Effort against Child Rights Violation and for Peace Education- III Phase.' The project has been launched in 7 districts for 2 years and covers 135 VDCs and schools. The detail of project activities and budget, process of project was discussed during interaction. The interaction were locally organized by district level consortium partner organizations and facilitated by the Project coordinator Thakur Shrestha. The project is being conducted with support of Kindermissionswerk , Germany.
 

Child Club formation & Update ongoing
Formation and updates of the child clubs in 100 VDCs in 7 districts is ongoing. 'The project has been focusing to update the 65 CCs which were functional in last 2 phases and form 35 new CCs in newly project baked area. Likewise, context mapping on the status of children in 7 districts is ongoing. District coordinators and activists are actively mobilized at the moment', said the project coordinator Thakur Shrestha.
 

Press Meet
An interactive press meet was organized focusing to orient the journalists and media on the issues of children and role of the media in Ilam. Reporter/Journalist Bhim Chapagain had presented a paper on "issues of children and the role of mass media" on the interaction. The participants focused on the issues of parentless children, re-habitation of the victimized girl especially rape victim, drug addiction, child labor, and child marriage (eloped) are the major issues. Likewise, corporal punishment is also high in the context of Ilam and eastern Nepal. They highlighted the district level coordination among the stakeholders for rescue of the children and promotion of the children emergency shelter as urgent need.
