HURF Nepal has distributed garments for the children with mental disabilities who are protected in the Mental Disabilities Children Protection Resource Centre of Amar Higher Secondary School Barbote in Ilam. Chief Guest, the mayor of Ilam Municipality distributed garments in a formal distribution event organized by HURF Nepal. HURF Executive director Devendra Biswakarma addressed the meeting with focusing the need of support and HURF’s campaign in the field of child rights. Principal of Amar HSS, Resource Teacher, President of Child Club and President of FNJ Ilam Branch acknowledged the efforts of HURF and remembered other supporting organizations and individual in this occasion. The Mayor expressed his commitment to bring scheme for the infrastructural development of the resource centre in recent future. The chair of the ceremony and the ward president of ward no 5 Thakur Shrestha acknowledged the support HURF also he remembered that he had worked in the field of children with HURF thus he was motivated to work with children as well. The celebration was organized under the project Effort against Child Rights Violation and For Peace Education Phase III funded by Kindermissionswerk, Germany.
