Mayors and deputies of municipalities in Ilam agreed to pass child protection procedure which is the base to work for the children issues by the end of next month. The local governments' plans lacked the children focused program in the existing plan. Though some government allocated budget they are not able to spend the money in lack of the procedure. The reality was explored in district level implementation plan for the 13 points' Province no 1's Ilam declaration for child protection. HURF Nepal with Kindermissionswerk has organized the district level planning meeting for the implementation of the declaration on 5th March in Ilam.  The reality came up the same in other 6 districts in Province-1. All local levels in 7 districts made plan for effective implementation of the decalration as a gate way of the newly elected local government. Furthermore, the local level requested to HURF to formulate a draft template of the child protection procedure for the local level. In the plan the local government will be provided the raw model of procedure by HURF Nepal, which will be passed by local government by the end of Chaitra, 2074. HURF Nepal is focusing to bring uniformity in policy and strategies in Province-1, furthermore HURF is trying to bring a model of provincial level procedure which can be replicated in all other provinces as well.
