Executive boards of rural/municipalities in Ilam districts were trained on the function of judicial committee, management of judicial function especially mediation, basic knowledge on existing new civil laws, role of local government were discussed in the 3 day workshops. Workshop with executive boards has been organized in 9 rural/municipalities in Ilam. The workshops brought rural/municipalities level plan of their respective municipalities. The workshops focused the role and coordination between executive board and judicial committee.  Highlighting the need and benefit of mediation the executive boards are prepared to establish mediation centers, allocate budgets, management of trained mediators, training for the mediators and pass/amend the mediation procedure as the part of executive boards' task.   The workshops were organized since May, to first week of September, 2018. The workshops were organized under the mediation for peace and justice project supported by GIZ-ZFD.
