Human Rights Forum released the Human Rights Situation of Ilam (Jan-Nov) in an interaction on 17th November, 2018. The report  has raised the current human rights issues which highlighted  the issues of specified target groups(Women, dalits, children, disabilities) are shadowed due to lack of clear policies and plans of the local government. Increasing trend of crimes (rape, human trafficking & suicide), problem of labour wage, and lack of market monitoring and consumer rights are highlighted. Threat of disaster due to physical development lacks risk management policies and plan are raised. The report was presented by HURF PM&E Officer, Yoga Raj Sapkota.
INSEC district representative Kokila Dhakal presented a paper with the data based on the recorded cases of the year for the feedback of the stakeholders. The report will be published in INSEC year book 2019.  The data showed that 23 rape cases, 18 domestic violence & 82 suicide cases were recorded within 11 months. 10 days bandh/strike had to be faced. 5 murdered cases & 5 human trafficking cases were recorded in this year. 
Mayor of Ilam Municipality, Mahesh Basnet expressed his commitment to address the raised issues related to municipality as well as he added that Ilam municipality had recently decided to reduce tax rate and implemented. SP of district police office expressed that district police will coordinate with stakeholders and communities for improvement of the security. The chief district officer expressed his commitment to organize the district disaster management and emergency response committees meeting and to develop its policy.
