Executive boards of rural/municipalities in Terhathum districts were trained on the function of judicial committee, management of judicial function especially mediation, basic knowledge on existing new civil laws, role of local government were discussed in the 3 day workshops. Workshop with executive boards has been organized in 3 rural municipalities namely Aathrai, Chhathar & Phedap in Terhathum. The workshops brought rural municipality's level plan of their respective municipalities. The workshops focused the role and coordination between executive board and judicial committee.  Highlighting the need and benefit of mediation the executive boards are prepared to establish mediation centers in ward level, allocate budgets, management of trained mediators, training for the mediators and pass/amend the mediation procedure as the part of executive boards' task.   The workshops were organized in December 2018. The workshops were organized under the mediation for peace and justice project supported by GIZ-ZFD.
