'Far away from the traditional event organizing The Thinkers' Cafe has given new insight on organizing interaction and discussion events' said Mrs. Rupa Limbu, deputy of Aathrai rural municipality, Terhathum while raising her remark on the event and remembering the traditional way of organizing events with formal chairing, speeches, and discussion.
HURF Nepal organized a discussion on Role of local government and civil society organizations for enabling local judicial structures, services and on the issues of GESI and social protection for sustainable peace and justice on 6th February, 2019 in the interim capital city of province 1,  Biratnagar. Members of province parliament, Coordinators of DCCs, and deputies of the local governments were participated. They sat in 8 different tables to discuss and write their views on 4 issues and they changed 4 rounds to address the all issues. The host presented the findings of each table. Findings showed that the need of laws, policies, and plans of local government is the urgent task and technical support from the civil society organization is necessary for the management of local judicial structures to start and improve the service delivery as well as to fight against social issues such as women and children. Chetana Theatre preformed a play on the history of HURF on this occasion. Chief guest Hn'ble,  Hikmat Kumar Karki, The province minister for internal affair and law expressed his commitment that the findings of the discussions are the basis of the planning of the province government and the province government will act accordingly to address the issues. HURF President Mohan Singh Thebe chaired the program expressed that the local governments and the province government should not forget on policy making beside the development. The program was organized to celebrate HURF's 20th anniversary in province level.
