February 17, Human Rights Forum Ilam, successfully organized the Interaction & Coordination Meeting as a initiation of the project “Youth for Social Change” (Mobilizing youth groups for promoting safe migration and prevent human trafficking), by promoting inform and safe migration, formal labor, entrepreneurship and vocation training for better livelihood, in Rong Rural Municipality One of the project area among two local body (Rong rural municipality and Mai municipality with the term of 11.5 months, January to December 2019. Meeting was between executive and administrative members of Rong and HURF’s project team on the chairpersonship of chairperson of Rong, respected Shamsher Rai. There was appropriate participation of people like heads of wards, administrative head and the other members of executive body. During the meeting session, first, it was thematic explanation about the project about one and half hours from 11 am after short introduction program among participant and plain overall discussion and interaction about the project. Meeting remain very fruitful as heads of wards and participants showed their positive reactions towards the concept of project and at the last chairperson Shamsher Rai ended the formal meeting by welcoming to project, accepting the gist of project promising cooperative, collaborative and supportive hands to the project’s spirit.
Following day, on February 18, Interaction & Coordination Meeting was held in Mai Municipality as scheduled on the chairpersonship of Deepak Kumar Thebe, the chairperson of Mai Municipality. It was also very effective and supportive meeting for project. After the brief explanation about the project there was interaction and discussion that gave the further information to participant of local body. At the conclusion of the meeting, chairperson, responding meeting showed his curiosity to change the society with cooperative hands.
These meetings pave the path to starts the project formally in Rong and Mai, project areas to find out the core of problems and mitigating measures. Project will provide some initiatives like trainings and matter support to the needy people. By the end of the project people will have starting their own business.
