A six days resiential training  for the members of Community Mediation Committee of Sri Antu VDC was conducted  for19- 24 December, 2012. The training was focused on mediation, conflict, advanced communication skills, human rights, and mediation act. Mr. Devendra Biswakarma, Mr. BB Khadka, Mr. Ashok Bantawa, Mr. Shikhar Nath Sapkota, Mr. Pritha Singh Sunuwar and Mr. Yoga Raj Sapkota facilitated the training. Mr. Shekhar Chandra Aryal, Judge of District Court supported the mediators on legal provision based on the existing cases that are facing by CMC while facilitating the training.
The CMC in Sri Antu along with VDC and HURF Nepal developed an action plan for the effective implementation of the programme and skills in local level.
During closing session, addressing the session, Mr.Rudra Prasad Subedi , VDC secretary expressed his commitment to support and consider the mediation program and management of CMC in local level. Two participants and the CMC chairperson also thanked the HURF for providing such skills and expressed their commitment for its effective implementation. The training was conducted in support of SDC under Mediation for Peace and Social Justice Program.
