A six days residential training for the members of Community Mediation Committee of Kolbung VDC was conducted 7- 12 January, 2013. 18 CMC members were actively participated in the training. The training was focused on mediation, conflict, advanced communication skills, human rights, gender mainstreaming, social inclusion and mediation act. Mr. Shikhar Nath Sapkota, Mr. Devendra Biswakarma, Mr. Parash Rai, Ms. Anjuly Das, Ms. Geeta Shrestha, Mr. Ashok Bantawa, Mr. Yoga Raj Sapkota and Mr. Shekhar Chandra Aryal, Judge of District Court Ilam, facilitated the training.
The CMC along with VDC and HURF Nepal developed an action plan for the effective implementation of the program and skills in local level.
The participation was inclusive based on gender and ethnicity. The training was conducted in support of SDC and ZFD/GIZ under Mediation for Peace and Social Justice Program.
