One day coordination meeting was conducted from 2 -11 April, 2013 in 7 VDCs to develop coordination with VDC level stakeholders for the smooth implementation of the Community Mediation program. The meeting was conducted in Sakhejung, Soyang, Nayabazar, Jitpur, Pyang, Namsaling and Gorkhey VDCs. VDC level political parties, CMCs, coordinators of Ward Citizen Forum, Dalits activists, women activists, representatives of CBOs, VDC secretaries took part in the meeting. The meetings were facilitated by Mr. Devendra Biswakarma, Mr. Bhakta Thami and Mr. Kuldeep Ghimire from HURF Nepal.
27 VDC level coordination meetings have been conducted out of 30 VDCs. The Community Mediation Committees (CMCs ) are actively working in 30 VDCs in district Ilam.
