Ward level orientation on citizen charter and community score card testing was conducted in 3 wards 3, 8 & 9 of Ilam municipality 15- 17 May,2012. The orientation programs were focused about the citizen charter and services provided by municipality. More than 170 participants were participated. Most of the participants expressed that they got new and more important information in ward level first time. All the 3 programs were chaired by Mr. Dig Bdr. Koirala, president of CC municipality Ilam. Participants were the political leaders, women, dalits, marginalized, and community people. Mr. Bhakta Thami and Mr. Mankumar Baraily from Abhiyan and Ms. Sita Khawas, Mahesh Kafle and Mr. Ram Prasad Kharel facilitated the orientation program. The program was conducted in support of Abhiyan Nepal with coordination with HURF Nepal and Ilam Municipality. Overwhelming participants were observed because of the fact that it was the very first ward level orientation program. Participants thanked to HURF Nepal and Abhiyan Nepal for such program. In fact the program has to be conducted by the municipality but the municipality remained unable, they added.
