Child Clubs Train on Child Rights and Peace Education

30 Child Clubs members from 15 Child Clubs were trained on child rights, peace education, leadership, international laws, human rights, minute writing, meeting conduction, school level planning, environmental management and community based participatory planning, news writing, wall magazine preparation, anchoring of the meeting and facilitation of dispute in school premises etc. The training remained residential for 4 days i.e. 15th- 18th, September, 2013 at HURF Hall Ilam. The CC members from Ilam and Jhapa participated in the training. Mr. Ajit Yonjan, District Child Rights Officer, Mr. Satendra Jabeju, Editor of Ilam Post Daily, Mr. Yoga Raj Sapkota, Facilitator of Conflict, Peace, Conflict Sensitivity and Peace Education, Ms. Renuka Rai, Psychosocial Counselor and Facilitator, Mr. Nawaraj Shankar, Program Coordinator, & Mr. Thakur Shrestha District Coordinator facilitated the training.
The training was conducted under the program "Effort against Child Rights Violation and for Peace Education". The project covers 25 schools in Mechi zone on which 10 schools from Ilam and 5-5 from Panchthar, Taplejung and Jhapa districts. The second training for the members of CCs in Panchthar and Taplejung will be conducted in Panchthar soon. The project has been supported by Kindermissionswerk Gemany.
