HURF Nepal, with support of Eastern Network against Domestic Violence organized interaction on the situation of women and domestic violence and the role of the stakeholders in 2 different places namely Pashupatinagar and Gorkhey   during 16 Days Campaign. More than 70 local stakeholders including political parties, line agencies, women activists, Women Rights Groups, Mediators, Dalits, Janajaties participated. Stakeholders expressed that there is still women violence due to participation of women on unproductive work. They remarked that the cause behind this is the tradition and the social norms. Stakeholders expressed their commitment to aware the neighborhood and to bring gender sensitive plan during VDC level planning. The interaction programs were facilitated by Ms. Renuka Rai, WRG Program Manager, and HURF Nepal.
Similarly WRGs in Gorkhey, Kanyam and Shantidada organized different activities during the 16 days campaign.
